Tomorrow is Memorial Day here in the U.S., and I have sibling who’s deployed overseas. My paternal grandfather was in World War II, although at 92 years of age he’s well past the point of wanting to talk about his adventures in the Battle of the Bulge. Sarah E. Memorial Day is coming up in the United States, which is a time for us to pause and reflect on all those who have served our country, especially those who have paid the ultimate price in defense of our great land. An easy knit way to honor those who have served and to remember those who are currently serving in the military is to knit a yellow ribbon to wear on Memorial Day, Veterans’ Day, even the Fourth of July or any other time you want to keep the military in your heart (and on your shirt).
